Another day another beer, I could get used to this.
This one seems to be Faro Lambic by Lindemans standing at 4.5%
It is a strange beast. First smell is pure champagne! Yet a little fruity. Cant be hints of melon right? Like a good sake has a melon fragrance. Taste wise it is a mix of champagne like notes with fruit, almost cider like, maybe even pear. It starts sweet then ends with a real sharpness. Have i picked a bottle of peri by accident? Nope it definately says beer, I have come across beer with champagne yeast part of there process, is this one of them?
Cant read the blerb as its all in french, though with help I have been told some of it says ‘chill’ and ‘special fermentation’. When I have more time, aka not going to a geeky pub quiz, i cant wait to research this.
This is just what I wanted, something unexpected… and mildly confusing.
