Bit of a dodge photo, I did put the bottle into the locker room but it might be thrown away by the time I get back to work on tuesday. Loved explaining what I was doing though.
Grand Cru by Rodenbach standing at 6%. This wont be the best of describitions either as I thought I would have more time to drink and write notes, had to drink this while opening secret santa stuff, changing into costume and chatting to people. All curious as to how I produced a beer outof nowhere the second we finished work.
The remember the smell being malty and almost champagne like, with the slightest sharpness at the end. Couldn’t place what it was then but now I can also say oak aroma. Taste wise it was fruity but I couldnt tell you what in all honesty, though not overpowering at all, followed by some complex flavours also well balanced. It just seemed to glide down too. I mentioned champagne in the smell, now Im more thinking wine would be a better description considering the aftertaste. The colour was a dark reddy copper.
I would love to try this again as I really enjoyed thinking about all it had to offer, to be in a situation with less haste and enjoy the simple act of drinking this lovely beer too.
