Titles are getting longer O.o Anyways, I’m cheating a lil bit with this one. I have had Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier before, but the Marzen type while this is the Wheat type. Wanted to see how different one of my favourite drinks range could be.
This one stands at 5.2% and is delicious and slightly different from the marzen. This one is a lot lighter to drink, very smooth and not as bitter. While the smokey smokey aroma and taste is still, thankfully, as strong and wonderful. I would say that the aftertaste is slightly nicer as it isn’t as hefty. I also should note how this is the only drink that comes to mind where I find myself taking a deep sniff everytime I lift the glass, the aroma is addictive. Im going to stop here before I write the makers of said beer a poem.
Only bad thing is I forgot from past experience how much these beers explode upon opening…. so now I have a smokey carpet
