Well here it is, the finally bottle of this wonderful experiment, will still do one more post later on reguarding highs, lows and which ones I’ll be getting again.
So here we have the Duchesse De Bourgogne by Verhaeghe standing at 6.2%. The only way I could have this beer today before midnight was to have it as a breakfast beer, so I did. Smells a little vinegary like yesterdays bottle, but the colour is a lot darker than I predicted so there is some hope. With added sharper sides to berries aroma’s.
The taste begins with berries, then something I cant place my finger on, then sourness of black berries like notes. Thankfully not sour like vinegar like I feared. The aftertaste is strange, quite clingy with a sharp bite but does leave you wanting more.
