This is gonna be hard.
This lil beauty is Dulle Teve (Mad bitch) from De dolle brewery standing at 10%. Refering to the start of this post, this will be hard because it is stupidly nice. It has a lot going for it, it gets many things just right. Strong, not too heavy, pleasant carbonation, inticing aroma, an array of flavours, yet balanced, silly name and it leaves you feeling satified. Also said it was hard because I’m having trouble describing it. Just want to drink it haha.
The aroma has fruit, but not berry or raisin like, more apple. A smiggen of citrus. Theres something else too, like a honey yeastiness. Meanwhile the taste is sweet, ever so slightly sour, sweet apple, yeasty and the alcohol is hidden very well. Pleasant texture, not super smooth, just enough carbonation. With a lingering finish, bittersweet with even some spice. (Even got a flatmate involved for this one)
Big yet mellow. Complex yet simple to enjoy. And a joy to talk/write about. A very very good beer.
(Now I have learnt that it can be kept for years without it changing too much, and then its starts to get a little bit sweeter. So really would like to buy two more, have one next year then another even later.)
