I nice drink that gives you exactly want you would expect. No nonense on the bottle, just five four worded lines of what is inside, nice and to the point. Which is exactly what the drink is, nice, to the point and then move on to the next one. It is not really that memorable though, for me at least. This is actually a pain to talk about. The more I think about this drink the more it proves how good it is. But, a big but, its very simple and doesnt spark anything stunning. Quite a confliction going on in my head right now.
The texture is smooth enough, low carbonation and not too clingy. The taste is bitter chocolate, cocoa, maybe even roasted cocoa, a little malty and quite hoppy actually. The aroma is very roasted cocoa, with a coffeeness, plus the malt and you smell the alcohol more than you taste it.
Wont mention the Pin Up Milk Stout that I had in a diner earlier this evening which I managed to turn into a chemistry experiment explosion. It just wouldnt stop over flowing out of the glass even though I only poured one inch of liquid into the glass……
