An odd one we have tonight, and I dont just mean the label design, this is Saxo from Caracole brewery standing at 7.5%. It does not smell of taste of that alcoholic strength at all, it is very hidden. Yet the sheer strength of the yeast aroma and taste makes you think otherwise. Other aromas consist of bitter grass and hay. The carbonation is suprisingly mellow considering the massive head it produced when I first poured it. This is a murky blonde beer, leaning towards the heavier end of the medium bodied beers. The taste is sour, bitter tarte, orange zest and somewhat sharp consistently. Aftertaste is hay like but leaves you quickly. This is just an odd beer, I neither dislike or approve of it.
The more I look at the bottle the more creeped out I’m getting. Dont stare into his eyes….
