This one took me by suprise. This one is Blanche de Bruxelles from Lefebvre brewery standing at 4.5%. From pouring it, which is one of the palest beers I can think of ever having, I really expected to by smacked by a sour taste. Only to get an extremely mellow taste. To which I am having so much trouble trying to figure out just what I can taste. After a proper think I want to say it is appley, hints of orange and peach, but unbelievably lightly. The aroma is soapy with a smidgen of citrus. This is rare for me but the carbonation is fun, soft and completely unintrusive. The texture shares these qualities. The aftertaste is somehow not watery or unpleasant, it is a little sharp then very clean, lightly crisp even.
As uneventful as this is, I think I’m a little bit smitten with this lil white beer.
