Merry Christmas everyone!

So today’s beer is Mary Christmas from The Ilkley Brewery Co.  A spiced amber ale at 4.7%.  When you first taste this one, you can really notice the spice.  Sadly that drops away as you progress and only really remains in the after taste.  Without the spice it tastes like a regular amber ale.  There is nothing really noteworthy about the smell either.

With this entry, that’s the end of my Advent Calendar.  It’s been really good fun trying lots of different beers.  I’m also rather lucky that I didn’t pick anything that tasted horrible.  I might have gotten a few bland ones but none that I thought would be better used to clean the toilet with.
