Hello hello been a while I know but today I have something exciting. Welcome to my first homebrewed beer named Zeph Divided by five. As it was inspired by a Brew dog beer, from their recipe book, that I have never had.
First things first, have no idea what its alcohol strength is but I can say that it tastes lower than a 6% haha. Colours are a dark hazy brown. With a thin white head. And I’m so glad that the carbonation isnt too much, its just pleasantly bubbly and unintrusive. Really wish my nose wasnt blocked as I cant smell a thing. Taste wise this has a hell of a wallop to it, it is seriously bitter but thankfully it does not cling. It is very hoppy with caramel notes. Aftertaste leaves you with a trailing bitterness, to be expected really. Zeph is not amazing, nor is it a failure, just a learning experience. Now onto the next one.
25/07: Okay now I’m extra confused. Just had another bottle of Zeph, and it’s delicious this time, just the right amount of bitterness. What the hell is the next one gonna be like? Awesuume.
