Oho~ glorious walrus! Now this is a tasty tasry beverage. Here tonight we have Norwegian Mauler from a collab between Lervig and Boxing cat Breweries standing at 7.9%. I definitely seem to have a thing for breakfast stouts.
The aroma is smoky chocolate, milky coffee, yet also black tea leaves, and you can smell how strong the alcohol is as well. Taste is dark malt, noticeable bitterness, dark chocolate, tea and oats. This is on silly levels of being balanced. How do I say it has a texture between medium and heavy, yet remains smooth leaning towards being oily? An awesome beer maybe? This beer really lets you know that it is there, but doesnt over cling or out stay its welcome, just hangs around long enough to leave you wanted more when it starts to drift away. Super soft carbonation and it is the first beer this advent calendar to make me basically write a love letter. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a current leader.
