This evenings beer is Global Heresy 2. A collaboration between the Mondo Brewing Company in London and “Mr Malty” from the Heretic Brewing Co in California. It’s a blood orange saison at 4.8%.
When I checked saison on google, the first line mentions high carbonation. Well, from the above photo, I can easily confirm that. It started off extremely sharp, but this quickly faded. Once settled, it seems way more like a pilsner. Turns out, the first ingredient listed is continental pilsner malt. That would explain why I like it. The smell has a light citrus to it.
Overall, definitely recommended.
