Finally got my mitts on this lovely absinthe glass. So it’s first tipple is from St George spirits, USA, Absinthe verte standing at 60%. This is my first olive coloured absinthe. Aroma is medium anise and candy like.
It louched and went super cloudy so fast. And this is going to sound daft but it is quite a thick texture, yet it doesnt leave any sort of trail on the glass. Samething with a thick mouthfeel then disappears completely. Taste wise it can be odd. Theres next to no anise punch, no wormwood or herby notes. Yet I don’t dislike it. The main flavour is wild honey and a single herb that I cannot place to be honest. An odd one for sure.
