Tonight we have Rosee d’hibiscus from Dieu du Ciel brewery standing at 5.9%. Can say straight away that I like this one, the whole time drinking it has been pleasant. It is a short sharp gentle subtle clean cool beer. The aroma has a soft sharpness, floral and berry fruits. Taste is equally gently sharp, sweet, berry and hibiscus. It is very light in texture and very smooth, with a dry and acidic aftertaste. Its sooo good. Finally a light sharp beer I can recommend to people and cant wait to try it again in the future. Picture doesnt do the awesome shade of red this beer is though.

Today we have Boont amber ale from Anerson Valley brewery standing at 5.8%. The smell of malt really kicks you in the face straight away, followed by a hint of non sweet caramel with an enduring wedge of hay. The colour is dark clear brown, with no head and very low carbonation. Taste is very malty, nutty, a little sweet, bready, an edge of bitter and also caramac (yes that childhood confectionery). Its full of flavour while drinking but really quickly disappears, leaving you with a malty bitterness then dough like aftertaste which leaves you wanting more.
This is somehow quite a fun beer. And by the way, that isn’t a moose on the label.
