Cool, fancied something dark tonight and I got Stouterik from De La Senne brewery standing at 4.5%. Its driving me nuts trying to place the aroma. It is malty, something roasted, a hint of burnt coffee and closest I can say is earthy charcoal to what I cant place. The taste is a whole lot less bitter than I expected, which is super nice actually. Malty, roasty and ultra dark chocolate. With little carbonation getting in the way, a medium texture and a pleasant light bitter aftertaste. This is a really nice stout and I already have little left in my glass. Plenty of character with simplicity.

Really like the label design on this Single wide IPA from Boulevard Brewing standing at 5.7%. This could be very short as its simply a nice IPA, India Pale Ale, that is exactly as you would hope/expect an IPA to be. Very drinkable too. Anyway, it has a frothy white head, has seriously just the right level of carbonation, ace floral and malty aroma which is shared in the taste, smooth, pleasant bitter aftertaste.
Overall a very well balanced ale. And to be honest one of the few american beers I’ve had that I would highly recommend
